54 countries, including Turkey, and two international organizations have called on the UN Security Council to stop arms supply to the war-mongering and occupying Israel.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made the announcement on Sunday. He said that a letter in this regard was submitted to the UN on November 1.
Hakan Fidan said that the letter, written at the initiative of Turkey, states that the supply of arms and ammunition to Israel must be stopped.
The Turkish Foreign Minister recently participated in the third Turkey-Africa Partnership Review Conference held in the Muslim African country of Djibouti. At a press conference there, he said, “Selling arms to Israel means cooperating in genocide.”
At the time, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that the current Israeli administration has emerged as a global threat. He also called on the international community to prevent Israel from such criminal activities.
Hakan Fidan said that the current global system is creating a framework where the injustices of history are being repeated.
He said, “This irresistible change will come under the leadership of African countries. The world needs to change now with those who have been neglected in the international system.”
