The United States is once again providing arms support to occupying Israel to continue its attacks on Palestinian Gaza. In this new package, the Biden administration has approved the delivery of more than 2,000 pounds of bombs and 25 F-35/A fighter jets.
The US media “The Washington Post” reported this information in a report on Friday.
However, the White House and the Israeli embassy in Washington declined to comment on the arms supply.
Meanwhile, the United States has admitted that famine is going on in at least some areas of the Palestinian Gaza Strip. A senior official of the US State Department reported this information on Friday.
He said that the Israeli blockade has hindered the access of aid trucks to the densely populated enclave.
“As we can say with confidence, there is an extreme risk of famine in southern and central Gaza,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. It has both a risk and a presence in northern Gaza. There is probably famine in at least some areas.
Since October 7 last year, Israeli forces have been indiscriminately attacking Gaza. The US has been supplying Israel with weapons since the start of the attack. More than 32,500 Palestinians were killed in this attack. Most of the dead were women and children. About 75 thousand people were injured. In addition, most of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents are displaced.
