Iraq gas field attack, 4 Yemenis died

Four foreign workers were killed in a drone attack on the Khor Mor gas field in Iraq’s Kurdistan region.
An adviser to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region confirmed this information that the attack happened on Friday. Reuters news.
The adviser and a senior Kurdistan politician said production at the gas field has been shut down since the attack.
In a statement, the government of the Kurdistan Region said that the four foreign workers killed in the attack came from Yemen.
Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid condemned the attack in a post on social media on Saturday, saying several people were injured and the local power supply was damaged.
The Khor Mor gas field has stopped supplying gas to power plants after the drone attack. In this the power generation has decreased by 2500 MW. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Khor Mor and Kemchemal are among the largest gas fields in Iraq. Pearl Consortium is in charge of gas extraction in these two fields.
