In addition to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, Israel has demanded the killing of 20 other senior leaders. They said 20 senior leaders besides Nasrallah were killed when Hezbollah’s headquarters were attacked on Friday.
Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an attack in Beirut on Friday. The Israel Defense Forces claim that the attack targeted Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah’s southern front commander along with Hasan Nasrallah was also killed in this attack.
The IDF said they killed Ibrahim Hussein Jazni, the head of the Nasrallah Security Unit, and his longtime aide and adviser, Samir Tawfiq Dib.
Israel claims that Hezbollah’s headquarters were under civilian buildings.
Since October 7 of last year, more than 40,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and more than 90,000 have been injured in Israel’s oppression and military operations in the Gaza Strip. Most of the casualties were civilians.
There have been several incidents of violence along the Lebanese border since the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza. Both countries have evacuated civilians from the border. Lebanon’s northern border is controlled by the Iran-backed armed group Hezbollah. They have warned of attacks several times. Hundreds of fighters have been killed so far in the conflict with Israel. However, this time crossing the border area, the two countries have started attacking from each other’s border well inside the mainland. The death toll is gradually increasing.
