On October 7, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas attacked Israel. The Israeli security forces failed to stop the attack. The Israeli army chief announced that he would withdraw due to the failure in that incident.

Tel Aviv will complete the investigation into the army’s failure to prevent the attack by December. At this time, the Israeli army will complete all preparations for an all-out war with Lebanon. Earlier, Brigadier General Yossi Sariel, commander of the Israeli military intelligence unit 8200, announced his resignation.
