Israeli Defense Forces chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi threatened to retaliate against Iran. He made these comments while visiting an Israeli airbase hit by an Iranian attack on Monday (April 15).

However, in order not to spread the war in the Middle East, Israel’s allies called on Iran not to retaliate.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a wartime cabinet meeting for the second time in less than 24 hours to decide what to do in the wake of the Iranian attack.

There was no word from the Israeli government on whether any decision had been taken.

Iran has already said that if Israel strikes again in response to its attack, it will be retaliated more severely.

Iran says it has retaliated with drone and missile strikes inside Israel after an Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, that killed seven people, including a senior Revolutionary Guard commander.
