Iran is planning to take revenge for the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya in Tehran by Israeli attack. Israel has also given a message of preparation and counter attack to prevent the attack. In such a situation, the neighboring country Jordan is at serious risk. The country’s foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, said that Jordan will not become a battlefield for Iran or Israel.
Israel has been attacking the besieged Gaza for the past 10 months. Instability continues on the Israel-Lebanon border. In the meantime, Haniya’s death in a secret attack has started to sound the war drums in the Middle East.
In such a situation, Jordan has issued a warning to Iran and Israel. Jordan has also announced that it will resist counterattacks from both sides if they enter their airspace.
On Saturday, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said, “We will not be a battlefield for Iran or Israel.” Told them, we will not allow anyone to violate our airspace and endanger the safety of citizens.
Last April, Israel attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria. In that attack, the senior commander of the elite Quds Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his colleague Brigadier General Mohammad Hadi Haji-Rahimi were killed.
In retaliation, Iran launched a missile attack on Israeli territory. However, with the help of the United States, United Kingdom, France and Jordan, most of the missiles and drones launched by Iran were destroyed in the air. Jordan is seen as a Western ally in the Middle East. However, there is public pressure and frustration on the country’s government to prevent Iran’s attack on Israel.
