Kim insists on strengthening the navy

Largest warships and submarines are soon joining the fleet. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said that the naval base is being built to anchor and move these ships.

On Sunday, the country’s state media KCNA reported that their leader Kim Jong Un is going to add the largest warships and submarines to the fleet soon. Kim also said that the naval base is being built to anchor and move these ships.
He also announced military action to deploy anti-aircraft and coastal defense systems to protect the port. However, KCNA did not reveal in which region of the country the naval base is being built.
Besides, Kim visited a shipyard on Sunday. Meanwhile, he ordered to increase investment in shipbuilding projects. After that, Kim also visited a defense industrial plant. He emphasized on the need to make arms production more scientific and modernized to ensure the effectiveness of new and improved military equipment.
Describing such activities by North Korea as reckless actions by hostile powers, South Korea said they are disrupting regional strategic stability and increasing the possibility of a nuclear conflict.
Quoting the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, the country’s state news agency Yonhap reported that North Korea continued to send balloons filled with garbage towards South Korea for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday.
