Major changes in the Saudi administration

On the recommendation of Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, a major overhaul of the country’s administration has been carried out. According to Arab News, the Royal Farman (Decree) has been issued in this regard on Thursday.

It is said in the royal decree – the commander of the joint forces, Lt. General Mutlaq bin Salem bin Mutlaq Al-Azima will retire from military service. Because he has been appointed as an advisor to the Royal Court.

Navy Chief of Staff Lt. General Fahad bin Abdullah bin Saleh al-Gufaili has been relieved of his post. He has been appointed as Deputy Chief of the General Staff in the rank of Lieutenant General.

Meanwhile, Major General Fahad Bin Hamad Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Salman Lieut. Promoted to the rank of General and appointed as the Commander of the Joint Forces.

Major General Fahad Bin Saud Bin Dhuwaihir Al-Juhani Lieut. Promoted to the rank of General and appointed as Chief of Staff of the Land Forces.

Major General Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Hamed Al-Gharibi Lt. Promoted to the rank of General and posted as Chief of Naval Staff.

In addition, Samir bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Tabib, adviser to the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, was relieved of his post and appointed as an adviser to the Ministry of Defense.
