Minister Faisal highlights investment opportunities at AHICE Maldives Hotel Investment Summit

Minister Faisal noted that the biggest benefit of investing in the Maldives is the country’s popularity and high demand among tourists. He added that the Maldives is one of the top markets in the region, and the timeframe for return on investments is relativel.

Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has stated that the government’s top priority has always been to provide ample opportunities and ease of conducting business for investors.

Giving the keynote speech at the “AHICE Maldives Hotel Investment Summit”, organized by the Australian Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE), Minister Faisal highlighted the significant measures taken to create a favorable environment for investors.

“The success of the tourism industry is linked to successful investments. The new tourism law will provide additional facilities and opportunities for investors,” he said.

Minister Faisal noted that the biggest benefit of investing in the Maldives is the country’s popularity and high demand among tourists. He added that the Maldives is one of the top markets in the region, and the timeframe for return on investments is relatively short.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to finding sustainable ways to expand tourism, the Minister added that service providers are keen on adopting eco-friendly methods.

During the conference, investors were briefed on the opportunities within the Maldivian tourism sector. A total of 140 people from the tourism industry participated in the event.
