More than 300 aid trucks have entered the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip. This is the first time that so many trucks have entered the valley in the war that lasted for more than six months. Al Jazeera news.

In an announcement on Monday (April 8), Israeli authorities said 322 aid trucks had been “inspected” and allowed to enter Palestinian territory.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territory said 228 of the trucks were carrying food.

An Al Jazeera reporter from the Rafah crossing said several trucks entered Egypt through the Rafah crossing in southern Egypt. Some trucks also entered through the Karem Abu Salem crossing.

He also said that most of the relief trucks have water, sugar, flour and other essential items.

But the amount of aid that has flowed in is not enough for the starving Palestinians in Gaza, the United Nations said. That’s too little food to feed millions of people, the agency says.

On the other hand, a spokesman for the managing authority of the Rafah crossing said that the amount of aid that entered today was only a fraction of what was available before the war.
