Saudi warned about the weather for Hajj pilgrims

Saudi Arabia has warned pilgrims about extreme temperatures during this year’s Hajj season. Because, this time during Hajj, the country’s temperature can reach 48 degrees, according to the country’s meteorological office.
Arab News reported this information in a report on Tuesday (June 11).
Muhammad Al-Abdul Ali, spokesman for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health, said he was urging pilgrims to follow the ministry-directed hygiene rules to protect themselves from the heat. To avoid heat exhaustion, he suggested using an umbrella, drinking plenty of water and not going out unless necessary.
He further said, ‘Government is making every effort to provide a healthy and safe environment for Hajj pilgrims considering the climatic conditions.’
According to Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology, the temperature in Mecca during the Hajj can range between 45 and 48 degrees Celsius. During this time, the weather will be hot to very hot, but there is a chance of light rain.
The Hajj ceremony will begin on Friday, June 14. Holy Hajj on June 15. Makkah’s regional authority said on social media X that 1.3 million registered pilgrims had arrived in Saudi Arabia as of last Saturday.
