The discussion of the Pakistan High Commissioner with the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh

The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh on Tuesday in the State Guest House Yamuna. High Commissioner of Pakistan in Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maruf paid a courtesy call on Muhammad Yunus.
The press wing of the interim government’s chief adviser confirmed the matter.
During the meeting, he emphasized the need to revive trade and economic relations and people-to-people contacts between the two countries. He expressed interest in strengthening bilateral relations as well as strengthening cooperation on multilateral platforms.
Chief advisor. Yunus told him at that time, SAARC can be a model of relations like the European Union. We must work together for mutual benefit.
In the meeting, the High Commissioner of Pakistan said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif and the people of the country are deeply concerned about the ongoing floods in Bangladesh. He said, Pakistan is ready to help Bangladesh.
The High Commissioner requested ease of visa process for Pakistani nationals in Bangladesh and direct flights between the two countries.
He highlighted the need to increase engagement in existing bilateral arrangements between the two countries.
The High Commissioner also congratulated the Bangladesh men’s cricket team on their first Test win against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.
