The Prime Minister of Malaysia is coming to Dhaka today

Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim is coming to Dhaka today. He will reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:30 PM. He will be given a guard of honour.

Anwar Ibrahim will be accompanied by a 58-member delegation comprising his cabinet, members of parliament and senior officials.

After the formalities at the airport, he will be taken to the Intercontinental Hotel, where he is the chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus will have a meeting.

During the meeting, the two leaders will discuss various bilateral issues, including economic cooperation, political relations, trade, labor migration, education, technology, infrastructure development and defense cooperation. Besides, Bangladesh will seek Malaysia’s assistance in dealing with the Rohingya crisis and express its desire to become a ‘Sectoral Dialogue Partner’ within the ASEAN framework.

At the end of the visit, a joint statement will be issued between the two countries. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim President. Will meet Sahabuddin at Bangabhaban. He is the first head of government in the current situation of the country, who congratulated the interim government. At the end of the visit, he will leave Dhaka around 6 pm.

This is currently the first high-level visit by a foreign head of state after the new government took over.
