UN Secretary General condemns Iranian attack after Israel declares ‘unwanted’

At the UN Security Council, Antonio Guterres said now is the time to end what he called tit-for-tat violence in the Middle East.
Besides, the UN Secretary General also said, “Just as I condemned Iran’s attack in April, I certainly condemned yesterday’s attack as well.” I repeat, I strongly condemn Iran’s terrible missile attack on Israel.
In an earlier statement, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Kurtz had declared Guterres ‘persona non grata’ (undesirable) and ‘anti-Israel secretary general’ (who supports terrorists) for not properly condemning Iran’s attacks. He said, “Those who cannot condemn any country’s attack against Israel are not worthy to set foot on Israel’s soil.”
Guterres’ brief statement after the Iranian attack referred only to the “latest attack in the Middle East”.
He also condemned the attack as tension after tension. This made Israel angry with Guterres.
Iran fired about 180 ballistic missiles into Israeli territory on Tuesday (October 1); Israel claims most of them have been destroyed.
