Who is the new chairman of the Tata group Noel Tata?

Noel Tata has been appointed as the chairman of India’s largest industrial group Tata Trust. He is the half-brother of late industrialist Ratan Tata. Noel was appointed chairman of the trust at a board meeting in Mumbai on Friday.
Noel is the vice chairman of Tata steel and watch company Titan. His mother is French-born Simone Tata. Simone is the chairman of Tata Trent, Voltas, Tata Investment Corporation and Tata International.
According to reports, Noel has been instrumental in the development of the business group since joining the Tata Group in the early 2000s.
Noel was appointed chairman of Tata Trust after a meeting between Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust on Friday. Tata Trusts manages the activities of all the 14 trusts as the central coordinating body. Over 50 percent ownership of Tata Sons is mainly under two main trusts. One is Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the other is Sir Ratan Tata Trust. Tata Trust currently has Venu Srinivasan, Vijay Singh and Mehli Mistry as members of its executive committee.
67-year-old Noel Dorabji is the 11th chairman of Tata Trust and Ratan is the sixth chairman of Tata Trust. Appointment of head of trust is very important in organizations more than 150 years old. Ratan Tata’s younger brother Jimmy Tata is not associated with their family business. He lives a simple life in a two-bedroom apartment in the Colaba area of South Mumbai. But Noel’s three children are also in line to inherit the Tata group’s vast business empire.
Maya Tata, Neville Tata and Leah Tata; All three currently hold key positions in the organization. Maya is in charge of Tata Opportunities Fund and Tata Digital. He also has a role in Tata New App. Neville is Head of Star Market at Tata Trent Limited. Lee is associated with the Tata Group’s hospitality division.
Notably, renowned businessman Ratan Tata breathed his last while undergoing treatment in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday. He was 86 years old. He was born in 1937 in a Parsi family. His father Naval Tata and mother Suni Tata separated when he was 10 years old. Since then he grew up under the supervision of his grandmother.
