An indefinite curfew has been imposed in Bangladesh

An indefinite curfew has been imposed from 6 pm on Sunday in view of the violence and ongoing situation surrounding the quota reform movement.

Sharif Mahmud Apu, Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday.

According to the notification, evening law (curfew) has been enforced in all divisional cities, city corporations, municipalities, industrial areas, district headquarters and upazila headquarters, including Dhaka metropolis, from 6 pm on Sunday until further notice.

Earlier, the government imposed a curfew on July 19 due to the situation surrounding the quota reform movement. Then it is relaxed in different districts step by step.
