Saudi Arabia has said that it will not recognize Israel as a state without an independent Palestinian state. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said this in a speech on Wednesday. In his speech, he also criticized Israeli occupation and crimes against Palestinians. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

Salman said, Saudi Arabia wants to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. We will continue to work tirelessly until this goal is achieved. And we pledge that no diplomatic relations will be established with Israel without an independent Palestine.

Yuvraj made this comment in his address to the Shura Council. He gave this speech annually on behalf of King Salman. Before the speech, the members of the Shura Council took oath in front of the Prince.

Two sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Washington’s efforts to normalize Riyadh’s ties with Tel Aviv were being ignored. Behind this is the Israeli aggression that started last October.

From the Prince’s last statement, it can be assumed that the US efforts will not last until the end of the Israeli aggression.

A few weeks before the start of the Gaza war, Crown Prince Salman said that Israel and Saudi Arabia were close to an agreement.

The two sources also told Reuters that there will be some delay in establishing normal diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. Many experts believe that the most profitable aspect of this negotiation for Riyadh is that it could open the door to a defense agreement with the Americans.
