Hamas senior leader Khaled Meshaal has said that Israel brought about its own destruction by killing Yahya Sinwar.

The Hamas exiled political leader made the remarks at a mourning ceremony held in Istanbul, Turkey, in honor of Sinwar, the former head of Hamas’ political bureau who was recently killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip.

Meshaal said, “Sinwar unleashed a fierce storm against the Israeli regime. It is like a terrible earthquake for the enemies. This earthquake is pushing Israel towards destruction.”

The Hamas political leader also said that the enemies wanted to deal with Sinwar in order to achieve their goals. But Allah has decreed an honorable death for him. He lived a heroic life and died with honor.

Khaled Meshaal said that the Palestinian independence movement Hamas and the Gaza resistance forces will continue to fight against Israeli brutality and will be ready to defend the rights of the Palestinian people by any means. At the same time, ending the aggression is the main goal of this fight.

Earlier, on Friday, Khalil al-Hayya, deputy head of the Hamas political bureau, confirmed Sinwar’s martyrdom in a statement. At that time, he mentioned that Sinwar was killed in the Israeli government’s genocidal war, which has been ongoing in the Gaza Strip for more than a year.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli aggression, which has been ongoing for more than a year, has been causing widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip, and in this situation, Hamas has pledged to further strengthen its resistance against Israel.
