North Korean soldiers are fighting on the battlefield against Ukraine on behalf of Russia. After this accusation, South Korea is going to take a direct stand against Russia. They are thinking of providing weapons to Ukraine in the fight against Russia. According to TASS.

South Korea has been providing civilian assistance to Ukraine other than weapons so far. However, since news of their archenemy North Korea’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war has spread, South Korea may take this new step.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that the extent of South Korea’s military aid to Ukraine will depend on how much North Korea dedicates itself to the war in Russia.

In this case, instead of sending weapons directly to Ukraine, South Korea is planning to provide weapons to the country through a third country. Yonhap News Agency also gave an idea of what kind of weapons Seoul could provide to Ukraine. They said South Korea could supply Ukraine with Cheonggung-22 medium-range surface-to-air missile systems.

Earlier, during talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said the country was taking the possibility of North Korean troops joining the war with Russia seriously. Russia, however, dismissed the idea of North Korean troops joining the war against Ukraine as fake news.
