A senior official in the Arab country’s Ansarullah resistance movement has warned that the United States could pay a heavy price if tensions in Yemen increase.

On Monday, Ansarullah member and acting director of Yemen’s General Corporation for Radio and Television, Abdur Rahman al-Ahnoumi, said in a post on his X account,

“The US embassy in Yemen is preparing its mercenaries for war to stop the Yemeni people’s support for the Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. However, if tensions in the country increase, it will open the gates of hell for the US military, the oil facilities under their control, and Washington and its allies.”

Warning of attacks on US interests

Ahnoumi also said, “We are ready to launch attacks wherever we find US interests or bases—be it in Africa or the Persian Gulf. Yemen has made all the necessary preparations for this long ago.”

At the same time, he reminded that the Yemeni armed forces had previously made American ships and vessels legitimate targets in response to the US aggression, and the US had to pay a high price.

Therefore, the US would have to pay a higher price if tensions were to escalate again, the Ansarullah member warned.

US and British airstrikes

Meanwhile, according to media reports, US and British warplanes jointly carried out an attack on Yemen’s northern Hajjah province. The attack came as the Arab country was conducting a naval operation against ships linked to Israel in the Red Sea.

Confirming the matter, Yemen’s Arabic-language media outlet Al-Masirah reported that the airstrikes on Monday morning hit the Buhais area of the Midi district.

In addition, the At-Tuhaita district of the strategic western Hodeidah province was also attacked. However, the number of possible casualties or damage in the attack has not yet been disclosed.

Yemeni support for Palestine

Since Israel began its attack on Gaza on October 7 last year, the Yemeni army has declared its unconditional support for the Palestinian struggle for independence. As a result, the Arab country has been continuously attacking ships affiliated with Israel in the Red Sea.

Ansarullah and the Yemeni armed forces have stated, “We will not stop our attacks until the Israeli land and air attacks on Gaza end.”

Meanwhile, more than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza due to the continuous Israeli attacks. Most of them are women and children. In addition, hundreds of thousands of people have been injured.

Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has unanimously declared that they will stand by the Palestinian struggle. Their fight against the US and Western-backed aggression will continue.
