Iran is ready to fight against Israel. Iran has ordered its armed forces to be ready for war. However, at the same time, the country is also trying to avoid this war. The Israeli media outlet Times of Israel reported this news, citing the US media outlet New York Times.
The New York Times report said that the Islamic Republic is waiting for an Israeli response to the country’s latest missile attack on Israel.
The report said, “Iran has ordered its armed forces to be ready for war. However, it is also trying to avoid it.”
The report quoted four Iranian officials as saying that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered the Iranian armed forces to prepare numerous plans to respond to an expected Israeli retaliatory attack.
They warned that Iran would retaliate if significant damage or casualties occur. However, if Israel targets limited military installations and weapons depots, they may refrain from escalating the conflict.
Two of the four officials, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said that if Israel targets oil facilities, nuclear facilities or senior officials, Iran will respond by launching 1,000 ballistic missiles.
