The Secretary General of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has warned Israel not to test Hezbollah’s patience.
He said, “We warn the Israeli enemy, do not try to test our patience.”
The Hezbollah chief made these remarks in a video message on Saturday.
He called on the Lebanese government to take a firm stance against Israeli aggression and take firm action against the hundreds of violations of the ceasefire agreement committed by the Zionist enemy.
Meanwhile, the Hezbollah Secretary General congratulated Hamas on the ceasefire in Gaza. Naim Qassem said, “The resistance groups, including Hamas, and the Palestinian people have thwarted Israel’s big plan. We congratulate the Palestinian people and Hamas for this ceasefire agreement. This demonstrates Hamas’s steadfastness. The organization has achieved its desired goals. However, the enemies have not achieved their desired results.
Noting that differences are growing within the occupation regime, he said that the only solution is to return the Palestinian territory to its rightful owners.
Meanwhile, in the war waged for more than 15 months in the besieged Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have killed more than 47,000 Palestinians. Most of them are women and children. In addition, more than 1,10,453 people have been injured.
In such a situation, on Wednesday, with the mediation of Qatar, Egypt and the United States, Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet approved a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza.
After a long six-hour meeting, the Israeli cabinet approved the ceasefire agreement. On Saturday, Netanyahu’s office said in a brief statement that the cabinet had approved the framework for the return of prisoners of war and that its effectiveness would begin on Sunday.
