United States is proud to be Bangladesh’s partner: US Secretary of State

Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken said that the United States is proud to be a partner with Bangladesh on various issues.

Anthony Blinken said this while congratulating the people of Bangladesh on behalf of the United States on the occasion of the Great Independence Day.

In a statement, Blinken said, the United States expects to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and the relationship between the citizens of the two countries in the coming days. He said, the United States is proud to be a partner with Bangladesh in the most important ongoing issues, including combating climate change, advancing economic development, responding to the Rohingya refugee crisis, assisting global peacekeeping operations, and addressing global health challenges.

Blinken said this partnership plays an important role in ensuring a free, open, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. He said, ‘Bangladesh is celebrating another Independence Day, so we reiterate our commitment to strengthen democratic governance and protect human rights. These efforts will further increase the prosperity of Bangladesh.
