Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu government has been described as a ‘collapsing government’ by the country’s Hebrew-language newspaper Ma’ariv. The media reported that the occupation of Gaza had a devastating effect on Israel’s economy and that 46,000 Israeli companies were closed in the occupied territories (Gaza).

International media, including Al Mayadin, report that Israeli risk management company Coface Bdi (CofaceBdi) executive director (CEO) Ewell Amir said in an interview given to Ma’riv last Wednesday that 77 percent of businesses in the occupied territories have closed since the beginning of the Gaza war. Of the closed establishments, 35,000 were small; which were operated with a maximum of five employees.

Even by the end of this year, 60,000 Israeli companies will be closed, the CEO of Cofes BDI is expressing fear.

Meher News, citing Israeli sources, reported that the war in Gaza has caused extensive damage to various commercial sectors in the occupied territories, especially industry, tourism, agriculture and service sectors. There are almost no foreign tourists in the regions now.

According to the leaked data, Israeli companies face a very tough challenge. Challenges include labor shortages, declining sales, high interest rates, transportation and manufacturing problems, raw material shortages and risk of access to agricultural land in war-torn areas, as well as rising acquisition costs.

Meanwhile, according to Israeli media sources, rocket and drone attacks by the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah in the occupied territory have seriously damaged local businesses. Because these attacks have forced thousands of Jewish settlers to evacuate their settlements.

Rising tensions with Hezbollah have also raised concerns that any full-scale war with Lebanon would send Israel’s economy into the abyss of collapse.

According to Ma’ariv’s report, Hezbollah recently demonstrated in videos captured by their Hudhud drones that they can attack Israel’s energy infrastructure, such as oil refineries and gas tanks, at any time.

On the other hand, Yemeni military and Houthi naval operations have also played an important role in destroying Israel’s economy. According to Israeli sources, the Houthi attack has significantly reduced revenue at the country’s main port of Eilat.

Since October 7, 2023, with the full support of the Western countries, the Israeli regime has started mass killings against the helpless and oppressed people of Palestine in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

On the other hand, the Palestinian resistance organizations in Gaza and other armed groups in Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Syria have announced that they will demand the price of these crimes from the occupying Israeli government.

According to the latest information, 38,500 Palestinians have lost their lives and more than 88,000 have been injured since the start of the barbaric Israeli invasion of Gaza on October 7 last year. Out of which more than four hundred have been injured in the last two days.
