The situation in the Middle East has come to a standstill with Israel’s attacks one after another. Emirates Airline has suspended all flights to Iraq, Iran and Jordan due to regional unrest.
The airline made the announcement on Thursday. In a statement, Emirates Airline said it was forced to take such action due to regional unrest.
According to the decision, all flights to Iraq (Basra and Baghdad), Iran (Tehran) and Jordan (Amman) have been canceled on October 4 and 5, including Thursday. No flights will take off from those areas during this time.
The Middle East’s largest airline had earlier canceled all flights between Dubai and Beirut until Friday (Oct 4).
The company then said that they were suspending the flight due to the safety of the passengers due to the Israeli attack. But now, instead of improving, the situation has become more dire. Beirut has been reduced to rubble by Israeli airstrikes.
Earlier, Qatar Airways suspended flights to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. In a statement, Qatar Airways said that flights to Beirut have been temporarily suspended. No Qatar Airways flights will land at or depart from Rafiq Hariri International Airport during this time.
Apart from this, Lufthansa of Germany, Air France and Delta Air Lines of the United States have also suspended flights to Beirut.
