
Bangladeshi construction worker killed by throat slit in Malaysia

Miscreants took a Bangladeshi construction worker to the forest and killed him by slitting his throat in Malaysia’s Ipuh district. Local police recovered the strangled body of a Bangladeshi construction worker in a forest behind the Taman Legenda Phase 3 shared house near Teluk Intan in Ipuh district on Thursday morning.
Police arrested three Bangladeshi workers suspected in this incident and remanded them for seven days. However, for the sake of investigation, the police did not reveal the names and addresses of the Bangladeshi who was killed and the three arrested in the incident.
Confirming the incident, Perak Police Chief Datuk Aziji Mat Aris said the body of a 27-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker was found at 5:30 am on Thursday.
The body was recovered after receiving a phone call from the locals that it was in a forest in the local area. Based on preliminary investigation, three colleagues of the victim were missing around 8:30 last night.
He further said that the witnesses said that the deceased was seen eating dinner with his fellow friends at 8:30 last night and once praying in congregation. At a press conference at the Perak Police Contingent (IPK) headquarters on Thursday, he said inspections revealed that about 34 foreigners were living in separate small rooms in the area.
Azizi said the police have arrested three Bangladeshis aged between 32 and 39 to assist in the investigation. We have also seized three mobile phones to identify the motive behind the incident. Police have identified the weapon used by the suspect in the murder.
Meanwhile, the Teluk Intan Magistrate’s Court allowed three Bangladeshi nationals to be remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation into the murder of a compatriot. Magistrate Naidatul Athirah Azman granted the police officer’s request to remand the three suspects, aged between 32 and 39, from today until October 16.
