“Imran Khan is not in jail, it’s like he is in his in-laws’ house”

Azma Bukhari, Information Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province, said that former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan is living a luxurious life in prison. Looking at his cell, he seems to be in his in-laws’ house.
He said this after the central government submitted a report on the facilities provided to the former prime minister of Pakistan in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Thursday.
In the report, the government provided evidence including photographs of the facilities provided to Imran in prison. Earlier, the PTI supremo had claimed that he was kept in solitary confinement and was not allowed to meet a lawyer.
In this regard, Punjab government spokesperson Ajma said, members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) used to get the opportunity to meet the jailed leaders once a week.
Demanding the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the condition of Imran Khan’s jail, he said that Imran met at least 40 to 50 people in jail. He said some people think his prison cell should be converted into a five-star hotel.
Azma said that Imran Khan has been provided with an exercise bike and stretching belt, books, a separate kitchen, a special space for walking, LEDs, a room cooler and a reading table for physical fitness in the jail.
