China’s anger, why India separated Taiwan and gave a message of friendship! Taiwan sent greetings to Modi after his recent victory in the Lok Sabha polls. In response, Modi also exchanged blows on social media. China is stuck with that. According to them, India should stay away from the ‘political calculation’ that Taiwan is doing.
China claims that Taiwan is their country’s ‘rebellious territory’. They are determined to annex Taiwan to mainland China, even by force if necessary. On the other hand, Taiwan is adamant in their position. Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te sent a greeting message to Modi after the Lok Sabha election results were announced. Lai was elected president of Taiwan last month.
He wrote on X Handle, ‘Taiwan-India partnership is growing at a rapid pace. We want to work together in business, trade, technology and other areas to promote peace and development in the Indo-Pacific region.’
Modi thanked Taiwan’s president and wrote, ‘India is also interested in joint efforts in economic and technological matters.’ , ‘China opposes any kind of negotiation with Taiwan administration.’ In his words, there is only one China in the world and Taiwan is an integral part of China.’
