Palestinians will never back down on the issue of leaving Gaza, just as they will not leave the West Bank, Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas said.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS summit on Thursday (October 24).

Abbas said the Palestinians will not leave Gaza, just as they will not leave the West Bank. This is an important issue. Netanyahu is trying to drive the Palestinians out of their homeland, but we will never allow this.

He said Egypt and Jordan are against this policy and Gaza is an integral part of a single Palestinian state. We will work together after the Gaza war so that we can live in a single Palestinian state.

The Palestinian president said, “We just want a ceasefire, which is what everyone basically demands, that the Palestinians will be able to achieve and that humanitarian aid will be increased.”

He said, “Palestine is happy with Russia’s strong position, which supports the Palestinian issue and the sovereign rights of our people.”
