The temperature in the Indian capital New Delhi has again dropped below 5 degrees. This temperature was recorded in the capital New Delhi and surrounding areas on Sunday morning.
According to a report in the Indian media Hindustan Times on Sunday, Delhi has been experiencing a cold wave for the past few days and in the past one week, the temperature has dropped below 5 degrees three times.
The Meteorological Department said that the temperature was recorded at Safdarjung, the primary meteorological station in Delhi, on Sunday morning. The temperature has dropped below 5 degrees three times in the past one week.
The Indian news agency PTI quoted the Meteorological Department as saying that this is the first time in the last 14 years that the temperature has dropped so much in December in Delhi.
The Meteorological Department predicted that the cold wave may continue in some parts of Rajasthan till Monday. However, despite the increase in cold, there has been no significant change in the air quality. On the contrary, the air quality has deteriorated further compared to Saturday.
