According to the United States, 5 units of the Israeli army have violated human rights. However, this incident of violation of human rights by the Israeli soldiers took place outside the Gaza Strip. And all the incidents happened before the ongoing war in Gaza.

However, despite human rights violations, Washington has announced the continuation of US military support. The British media BBC reported this information in a report on Tuesday.

According to the report, the US State Department found evidence that five units of the Israeli military were responsible for human rights violations in separate incidents. But they said they would continue to provide US military support to the Israeli army.

All of these human rights violations took place outside of Gaza before the current war.

The US State Department says Israel has taken corrective measures at four units and provided “additional information” about a fifth. This means that all units will be eligible for US military assistance.

Israel’s main military aid provider is the United States. The country supplies Israel with $3.8 billion worth of weapons and defense equipment each year.

But the BBC says this is the first such announcement by the US government against any unit of the Israeli army. State Department spokesman Vedanta Patel said five units of the security forces committed gross human rights violations.

Four of these units have effectively remedied the breach, which is what we expect from partners, he said. We are continuing to negotiate with the Israeli government for the remaining unit; They submitted additional information related to that unit.
