US President Donald Trump has taken a direct stand in favor of canceling the $21 million aid allocated to India.

According to him, India has already received enough money and although he respects the country, it is not logical to give this grant to increase voter turnout.

According to a report by Indian media NDTV on Wednesday, the United States has recently canceled financial assistance allocated to several countries as part of budget cuts.

Of this, $21 million was allocated to increase voter participation in India’s elections. This decision was announced by the Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE). Which was newly established under the leadership of Elon Musk.

The announcement of the cancellation of this aid comes a few days after a recent meeting between Trump and Modi. Analysts believe that grants for several more countries may be canceled in the future, as per the US administration’s budget reduction policy.
