Uzbekistan, China Boost Oil and Gas Drilling Cooperation

Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz company, has held talks with Li Xicheng, Deputy General Director of SIBU, as part of efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed current areas of collaboration and discussed the potential use of SIBU’s modern drilling facilities in the implementation of Uzbekneftegaz projects, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbekneftegaz.

Particular attention was given to optimizing drilling timelines and reducing operational costs within the framework of a long-term partnership.

The talks also covered proposals for commercial well drilling, reflecting growing interest in expanding practical cooperation. Following the discussions, both sides expressed readiness to further develop their partnership, focusing on expanding the drilling fleet, improving technological efficiency, training qualified personnel, and implementing mutually beneficial oil and gas projects.
