What Erdogan said to the Emir of Kuwait about the Gaza crisis

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Michel Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah about the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and especially the attack on Rafah.

They met in the Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday. Daily Sabah reported that the meeting held between the two leaders also discussed the Palestine issue as well as Turkey-Kuwait relations.

According to reports, the visit by the ruler of Kuwait, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, is the first visit by an emir to the Gulf country in seven years.

At this time, Erdogan said, Kuwait’s position against Israeli oppression is significant. He emphasized that this position would strengthen the Palestinian claim.

He noted that Türkiye is trying to push for a permanent ceasefire from October 7. At the time, Erdogan reiterated Ankara’s call for a two-state solution and reiterated the need to recognize Palestine based on the 1967 borders.
