Why is Israel attacking hospitals and civilian facilities in Gaza?

More than 400 Palestinians have been killed in 13 consecutive days of Israeli attacks on Al Shifa Hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip. Most of the dead are wounded patients, Palestinians displaced by the war and healthcare workers.

Al-Shifa is the largest hospital in Gaza. The hospital, located in northern Gaza, has been under siege by Israeli forces since November last year. Hospital staff, patients and besieged refugees are being threatened by Israeli forces that the entire hospital will be bombed and that if they do not leave this shelter, they will be buried under its rubble and killed!

The threat of the Israeli army against the besieged Palestinians is now moving towards implementation. Over the past few days, reports have been pouring in from the hospital, including pictures, of patients dying, medical workers pleading for help, Palestinian civilians being arrested, killed and tortured, and explosions in homes around the hospital. There have also been reports of Palestinian women being raped by Israeli soldiers in this hospital.

Thousands of people, mostly sick and wounded Palestinians, are still inside Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital. At least four patients have died so far as medicines did not reach the patients in the besieged hospital and the lives of many more are in danger as the siege continues.

Hamas commanders have used the hospital as a pretext that Israeli forces have carried out military operations in the past. Israel is also reported to have detained many resistance fighters at the hospital. But later it was forced to admit that the claim was not correct. It also admitted that the photos it published of Palestinians arrested at Al Shifa Hospital were false. But Israel continues to claim that the hospital is being used by Hamas for military purposes.

It is believed that Israel is making these demands to continue the siege on this hospital and to put pressure on patients and refugees.

Israel has previously made such accusations against hospitals in Gaza, and in particular, Israel surrounded and attacked the hospital, claiming that it found evidence of Hamas’s secret tunnels and the central military command center of Hamas under Al Shifa Hospital.

But Israel has not been able to show any proof of those claims. And from this it can be understood that the Israeli attack on hospitals and medical centers, schools, markets and shelters in Gaza is actually just a planned war tactic in order to destroy all the living infrastructure of Gaza, including health and medical infrastructure. The killing of medical staff, patients and bed-ridden children in Gaza hospitals during the last six months of war is a clear testimony to the implementation of this demonic and evil goal of Israel.

Analysts also point out that Israel wants to take advantage of the negotiating table by attacking hospitals and various shelters. The Israeli army has not even come close to the goal that Israel declared to eliminate Hamas from Gaza.

However, Israel is adopting a terra cotta policy with the aim of forcing the Palestinians to leave Gaza and never return there. In particular, Israel wants to completely eliminate the Palestinians from the northern part of Gaza or drive them out of the area permanently so that this area can be used as a buffer zone for Israel’s security. So Israel took the initiative to force those who took refuge in Al Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza to flee by terrorizing them and killing many of them.

Doctors in northern Gaza say they have seen wounds on wounded Palestinians the likes of which they have never seen before.

Many analysts say that not allowing medicine to reach hospitals is an unprecedented crime against humanity. In fact, the Zionists want to de-Palestinianize the entire Gaza and establish a permanent occupation there.

The illegal Zionist government of Israel was formed in 1917 as part of the British colonialist conspiracy and sent Jews from around the world as emigrants to Palestine. Its existence was officially announced in 1948. And since that time, there have been various conspiracies of ethnic cleansing or genocide against the Palestinians so that Zionist Israel can occupy the whole of Palestine. There were reports that Zionist Israel was plotting to permanently occupy or control the Gaza Strip under various pretexts. There are gas and oil fields adjacent to Gaza and offshore, and these fields are believed to contain large reserves of gas and oil.
