For more than eight consecutive months, young children have suffered the most from Israel’s barbaric attacks on the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza.
According to the local government of Gaza, 15,694 children have been killed as a result of Israel’s intense attacks and indiscriminate aggression in the territory over the past 250 days. 17 thousand children lost their parents.
In addition to the attacks and intense aggression of the Israeli forces, the besieged territory has experienced a severe humanitarian crisis. The food crisis is so severe that significant parts of Gaza are facing ‘famine-like conditions’, the World Health Organization says.
Children are the main victims of the food crisis in Gaza. The agency also warned that thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza are suffering from malnutrition as Israeli forces severely restrict food, water, medicine and fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip.
It is known that more than 8 thousand children are suffering from malnutrition due to the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza. The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said this.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that some of the demands of Hamas’ modified proposal could not be implemented, although Hamas claimed to fully cooperate in reaching a cease-fire agreement with Israel.
Since October 7, 37 thousand 202 people have been killed and 84 thousand 932 people have been injured in Gaza. In Israel, the revised death toll from Hamas attacks stood at 1,139.
