36 Palestinian prisoners died in Israeli prisons

At least 36 Palestinian prisoners have died in Israeli prisons since the start of the deadly war in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation forces themselves reported this information.

Al-Jazeera reported that at least 36 Palestinian prisoners have died in prisons run by the Israeli military since the Gaza war began in October last year.

However, the Israeli military claims that some of these prisoners were already sick or injured.

Al-Jazeera says autopsy reports on five of the detainees showed signs of trauma, such as broken ribs, in two. However, the death of the remaining three could have been avoided if proper medical care was ensured and necessary care was taken.

The autopsies were observed by doctors from the Israeli rights organization Physicians for Human Rights-Israel.
