400 members of the Myanmar army have surrendered to the Arakan Army. It is reported that they have started surrendering after being unable to bear the pain of hunger.

Yesterday, Saturday, the army members stationed in ANN Township, Rakhine State began surrendering.

It is known that 400 army members of various ranks are staying in different barracks in the Western Regional Military Command (WRMC) located in the country’s ANN Township. Most of the soldiers are very hungry. In this situation, many soldiers, unable to bear the pain of hunger, have raised the white flag and surrendered to the Arakan Army.

It is worth noting that many soldiers stationed in WRMC did not want to surrender to the Arakan Army. But there is no food in WRMC.

In addition, on October 28, WRMC commander Major General Kyaw Swar Oo and some military officers fled. Later, Brigadier General Kyaw Than became the acting commander of WRMC. He also fled on December 6 along with some soldiers. This has broken the morale of most of the army members. Therefore, they are being forced to surrender to the Arakan Army.
