Israel responded to Iran’s 200 ballistic missile attack on October 1. Almost 4 weeks later, Israel launched airstrikes on several military bases including Tehran in retaliation for Israel’s attack. It was reported that 4 Iranian soldiers were killed.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that his country does not want war with Israel. However, it will give a befitting reply to the attack.
He said these things at the Iranian cabinet meeting yesterday, Sunday. This information was reported by the Turkish-based media Anadolu on Sunday (October 28).
At the meeting, the Iranian president said, “We will not just watch the war, we will prevent the war for the rights of the country and the nation. Appropriate measures will be taken against the Zionist aggression.”
Tehran sees the cooperation of the United States behind Israel’s attack on Iranian soil. And Western allies stand by Israel.
Criticizing the United States and the West, Pezeshkian said, “All people around the world are witnessing that the supporters of the Israeli regime, led by the United States, claim to protect freedom and human rights, but remain silent about the killing of thousands of women and children.”
“If the Zionist regime continues its aggression and crimes, tensions will increase, saying that the United States is inciting this crime.”
Meanwhile, in another message, the Iranian president expressed his condolences to the families of the four soldiers killed. On social media, Pezeshkian wrote, “Iran’s enemies should know that these brave people are standing fearlessly in defense of their land. They will respond to any foolishness with strategy and intelligence.”
