In recent months, Foxconn factories across China have seen mass layoffs and resignations.

Workers have been seen leaving their workplaces with their luggage and families in long lines, the Financial Post reported.

Videos circulating online show distressed workers standing in line from morning to noon, talking about their problems. A large crowd of employees was seen in Zhengzhou.

As the largest electronics manufacturer in the world, Foxconn has factories. Its operations in China are quite large. Some speculate that Foxconn may leave China altogether.

Footage circulating on social media shows Foxconn dormitories completely empty, rooms abandoned. Once bustling areas filled with street vendors and lively crowds are now ghost towns.

The company operates more than 40 manufacturing plants across regions such as the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and the Bohai Rim.

An employee who has worked at Foxconn for nearly 17 years explained that Foxconn strictly adheres to labor laws, ensuring wages and contracts in accordance with regulations.

In contrast, many domestic factories impose excessively long working hours, arbitrarily deduct wages, and exploit workers.

Foxconn began its journey in 1974 by making television knobs. Now it is one of the world’s most powerful technology companies, with annual revenues of $200 billion.

Foxconn’s specialty is as the manufacturer of Apple’s iPhone—it manufactures more than half of Apple’s products. In addition, companies such as Microsoft, Sony, Dell, and Amazon are also its customers.

Due to the deterioration of US-China relations, Taiwanese company Foxconn, which manufactures iPhones, is restructuring its business. Foxconn is having to move production out of China under pressure from the US.

They had a production factory in China, but now they are being forced to move production operations out of China.
