Indian PM Modi meets South Korea’s special envoys

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday met with a delegation of special envoys from South Korea led by Kim Boo Kyum in New Delhi.

Expressing delight in receiving the delegation, Mr Modi recalled his positive meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung last month. “Delighted to receive the delegation of Special Envoys from the Republic of Korea led by Mr Kim Boo Kyum. Recalled my positive meeting with President @Jaemyung_Lee last month,” he said in a post on his X handle.

PM Modi highlighted the completion of 10 years of the India-South Korea Special Strategic Partnership, emphasizing its growth in areas like innovation, defense, shipbuilding, and skilled mobility.

He also noted that close collaboration between the two democracies contributes to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

Discussions during the meeting included commerce, investment, technology, and green hydrogen.

The meeting underscores the strengthening ties between India and South Korea, with both nations aiming to further boost their Special Strategic Partnership.
