More than 250,000 Palestinians have left the area around the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis in four days as a result of the barbaric bombardment by the Israeli forces, the United Nations said.
The United Nations humanitarian organization OCHA said that these Palestinians were displaced in these four days from Monday to Thursday.
On Friday, the United Nations humanitarian agency said, about 182,000 people have been displaced from central and eastern Khan Yunis in four days. Besides, hundreds of people are stranded in East Khan Yunis.
The Israeli military issued an evacuation order on Monday in parts of the southern city of Khan Yunis. They announced that they would ‘work by force’ there.
Meanwhile, at least 18 people have been killed in Khan Yunis in an Israeli airstrike. Many were injured.
Israel also bombarded the eastern part of Burez refugee camp in central Gaza. The occupying country’s military said in a statement that troops battled Palestinian fighters and destroyed tunnels and other infrastructure in Khan Yunis as they sought to suppress small units, which continued to hit soldiers with mortar fire.
The Israeli military said 100 Palestinian fighters had been killed since troops launched their latest operation in Khan Yunis on Monday.
