A terrible drone attack in Myanmar, many were killed

A terrible drone attack took place in Maungdoo, Myanmar, bordering Bangladesh. Many people are feared to have died.
In a report on Saturday (August 10), the news agency Reuters reported that the Rohingya community was attacked by drones last Monday. They were fleeing to Bangladesh to save their lives.
Several witnesses said that piles of corpses were frozen after the drone strike. Those who survived were looking for their families at that time.
Among the dead were a pregnant woman and her two-year-old daughter. For the past few days, fighting has been going on between Myanmar’s junta forces and insurgents all over Rakhine state. Monday’s attack is one of the deadliest attacks on the Rohingya in recent memory.
Three witnesses said the drone attack was carried out by the insurgent group Arakan Army. However, the Arakan Army denied the allegations. They instead put the blame on the army. On the other hand, the army also blamed the insurgents for this horrific attack.
In a video posted on social media, bodies were seen scattered on the muddy ground. Their suitcases and bags were also lying next to them. Three survivors of the horrific attack said more than 200 people had died.
On the other hand, an eyewitness said that he saw 70 dead bodies lying there. However, Reuters could not confirm the actual death toll.
However, Reuters was able to find out where the attack took place. The agency said the attack took place in Myanmar’s coastal city of Maungdu.
A witness named Mohammad Ilyas (35) said his pregnant wife and two-year-old daughter were injured in the attack. Then they died. He was standing with them when the drones started attacking people. He fled to Bangladesh. Currently staying in Bangladesh.
He said he heard gunshots several times. At that time he lay down to save himself. He stood up and saw his wife and daughter seriously injured and several relatives dead.
Another witness named Samsuddin (28) said that he, his wife and newborn survived the attack. Now he is in a refugee camp in Bangladesh.
Samsuddin said that he saw many dead and injured in the attack.
