Bangladesh’s First Female Chief Engineer Khaleda Ahsan Passes Away

Dhaka, Bangladesh — December 27, 2024 – Khaleda Ahsan, the first female chief engineer of Bangladesh and a prominent figure in the country’s Public Health Engineering Department, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 12:30 AM. She succumbed to a prolonged illness related to cancer. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Khaleda Ahsan’s passing has left a deep sense of loss among her family, friends, colleagues, and countless admirers.
