Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan blamed US President Joe Biden for the Gaza attack while attending the NATO conference in Washington DC.

He said US President Joe Biden and his administration are complicit in Israeli “war crimes” and violations of international law in Gaza.

Erdogan said this in an interview with Newsweek on the sidelines of the NATO summit. During this time he highlighted Israel’s brutal killing of civilians in Gaza, attacks on hospitals, aid centers and other places.

Erdoğan said that although the US administration is ignoring war crimes and violations of international law, it continues to provide maximum aid to Israel. They are providing military aid to Israel.

In this situation, he said, who will impose sanctions against Israel for violating international law and what kind of sanctions will be imposed? That is the real question now and no one is answering it.

Türkiye, a NATO member, has since condemned Israel’s attack on Gaza and cut off trade with Israel. They have continued to support Hamas since Israel’s invasion of Gaza on October 7.

It has also repeatedly criticized Western countries for supporting Israel and demanded Israel’s punishment at the International Court of Justice.

Meanwhile, Israel has always rejected accusations of war crimes in the conflict against the Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza. They also deny targeting Palestinian civilians.
