US President Joe Biden wants to end the war in Gaza before Iran attacks Israel. In addition, there is intense diplomatic pressure on the United States from the outside world.

Recently, a two-day cease-fire meeting in Qatar did not yield any results.

The Biden administration is not giving up on the stalemate over the ceasefire. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited Israel on Sunday (August 18).

He is having a meeting with the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials. This is the tenth visit by a top US diplomat to Israel since the war began in October last year.

U.S. officials say there is renewed hope for a cease-fire agreement.

The Israeli attack on Gaza has been going on for almost 10 months. Occupying Israel continues its brutality despite strong criticism of the world’s demand for a cease-fire.

The total number of dead in Gaza, devastated by Israeli attacks, has exceeded 40,000. In addition, more than 91,500 Palestinians were injured in the last 10 months.

On October 7, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas entered Israel across the border and killed 1,200 Israelis.

On the same day, Israel declared war on the Palestinian independence movement to eliminate Hamas and free Israeli hostages.
