Four coal miners died in a methane gas fire in Vietnam’s northern province of Quang Ninh. Seven more people were injured in this terrible fire.
The accident occurred early Wednesday morning (local time) during the excavation of the 23 square meter mine in Cam Pha city, Vietnam News Agency reported. According to the report, the mine was operating under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group’s Thong Nhat Coal Mining Company.
The bodies have been recovered and the injured workers are being treated at a local hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation. But this is not the first such accident in Vietnam. Earlier last year, at least 10 workers died in an accident in the country’s state-owned coal mine.
