Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, has recently threatened to attack neighboring Cyprus. Following this, Greek Foreign Minister Georges Gerapatritis said that it is inconsistent for Lebanon’s Hezbollah group to threaten the Republic of Cyprus.

He said, Cyprus is a member of the European Union.

Earlier, however, Greece said that the threat of attack on Cyprus was a gross violation of the UN Charter. Greece is next to Cyprus.

The European Union (EU) says Cyprus is a member of the EU after Hezbollah threatened to attack Cyprus. EU stands for Cyprus and Cyprus stands for EU. Peter Stano, the spokesman for this alliance of 27 European countries, told reporters that any threat against member states is tantamount to threatening the EU.

In a televised speech last week, Hassan Nasrullah said that Israel may start a war with Hezbollah. If Cyprus helps Israel in this war, Hezbollah will attack the small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea.
