Mujahed Abadi, the injured Palestinian who was tied to a jeep by Israeli soldiers, is alive. He has been admitted to the Red Crescent for treatment. Lying in the hospital bed, he told the media, I thought I was going to die.
Mujahed Abadi said he was hit by bullets in his arm and leg during the shooting. Israeli soldiers brutally beat him. He hit his head with his foot.
Israeli soldiers were accused of carrying out an operation in the West Bank city of Jenin on Saturday by tying the wounded Abadi to the front hood of a military jeep. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this news.
After being admitted to the Red Crescent, Abadi was interviewed by an Al Jazeera journalist. In that interview, he said, the Israeli soldiers were laughing and mocking me while beating me. Two held my hands and the other two held my legs. Then I was thrown in front of the jeep swinging left and right.
Abadi also told Al Jazeera that the soldiers were tied to a jeep and drove for about 20 minutes. I thought, they will not kill me. But killed. I thought I was going to die. I was bleeding from the bullet spot.
Pictures and videos of this incident have spread on social media.
Violence has escalated in the West Bank since the war in Gaza began. At least 480 Palestinians have been killed in conflict-related incidents in East Jerusalem and the West Bank since October 7, the United Nations said.
